Why Google’s Neural Networks Look Like They’re on Acid

The image that represents googles computer brain looks like straight out of a contemporary “Alice in Wonderland”. In fact, it looks very similar to what we are told ;) a human can see under psychedelic substances such as mushrooms or LSD.

Is it just coincidence or is there a reason why google created these similarities?

Is this computer brain recognizing images the same way our brain does?

It seems so simple for us the way we recognize things, but studies tell us the steps and the entire process that go with it…
