The 42-year-old Puerto Rican artist based in Brooklyn, Jose Parla, sat with our friend Angela Ledgerwood for Interview Magazine to speak about his current exhibition and his work.

Parla’s two-part exhibition “Surface Body/Action Space,” opened up this past Saturday at Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery n collaboration with Mary Boone Gallery. Jose Parla also has a sculptural work on view at the Standard High Line Plaza, “Union of the Senses”, a permanent mural at One World Trade Center, and a site-specific painting for Barclays Center “Diary of Brooklyn”.
