Photographic Portraits Made by Russian Surveillance Cameras

Adam Broomberg from Johannesburg, South Africa and Oliver Chanarin from London are artists living and working in London. Some of their major awards include the ICP Infinity Award (2014) for Holy Bible, and the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize (2013) for War Primer 2.

Broomberg and Chanarin’s latest series repurposes equipment used to document citizens in modern-day Moscow, resulting in eery images the artists deem “the digital equivalent of a death mask”
